Hawking was a bit limited in what he could do. Basically, all he could do was sit around and think shite up.

You are correct. I should have added that important point. I agree he made the best of his terrible situation but I don’t think his death is a loss at all.

His main focus was on the origin of the universe. He was dead fixed on the Big Bang theory. A theory that has been disproven by numerous scientists around the world.

Well it is unfortunate that you see it like that.

Anytime a great scientist dies, we all lose.

But was it all just “theory” that could all be proven wrong 10 years from now? Then what?

all science is theory that could be eventually disproven. It is self correcting. Did your school not have a science curriculum?

Well he was ravaged by ALS, for starters and could barely move. Incidentally, what is keeping you from doing either of the above?

Yep there’s some real mouth breathing retards on the poli board gloating about how he’s in hell now

I was permabanded from the poliboard for calling them mouth breathers.

The admin of that board is fricked in the head and has turned it into an absolute cesspool and misinformation bubble.

He's probably right, as far as God's role in universe and the eventual end of civilization.

What’s all the hoopla about with this guy? Did he even invent anything or do we just like him because he was like a cute puppy with his wheel chair and electronic voice?

Essentially continued Einstein’s work.

For quite some time black holes were a problem because the mathematics of general relativity broke down as you went into them in spite of being able to predict their existence and describe the behavior around them. He reconciled those gaps, and spun it around and applied them back to the universe at large.

I would rather you be a guy stuck in a wheelchair with a robotic voice who was also a great scientist.

Yeah, he had some problems in the digging apartment. I think Steve Hawking would agree with you that he wishes he had the capability to dig a well.

Really? I think I called a few of them mouth breathers multiple times last night due to celebrating Hawking’s death.

seriously, even if that was the case, he is the Author of A Brief History of Time, which is one of the most important books in history, just look at the sheer volume of copies sold. Its what got me interested in physics and math as a youngster.
