re: How long would it take you to adjust to a life without today’s technology? - Northshore Saint
Probably the only thing I would miss is home entertainment, mainly movies and games since I did grow up with Nintendo and VHS movies. Other than that I think I'd be fine. I didn't have a cell phone until I was a senior in high school and it was just a Nokia brick my parents let me borrow for emergen...

re: Any of you military guys ever been under enemy fire and have stories about it? - Northshore Saint
I was friends with a lot of the Seabees that were in Public Works where I was stationed. A couple of guys were open about what they experienced during their deployments in Afghanistan and some only talked about it when they were really drunk. They experienced things such being fired at while on cons...

re: Saints Starting Off on Their Left Foot - Northshore Saint
Total non issue. I'd prefer to have them healthy for camp than have someone important tear their knee up during a practice where there's no real work left to be done. If I'm not mistaken they pretty much installed everything during OTAs ...

re: Austin tech company Accruent to hire 350 employees for New Orleans office - Northshore Saint
Good luck raising a family in nola for 65k.
Depends on what your standards are. If you expect to live lavishly then no that's not so great. As long as you don't live beyond your means it can most certainly be done. Most families are dual income now anyway so even if the wife only ...

re: Darkhorse of training camp - Northshore Saint
Alex Jenkins the DE from the United Kingdom. He couldn't be on the roster last year due to some rule with these foreign players teams can bring in to try out. He showed some good speed off the edge. ...

re: Jordan Peterson doodles while debating a BBC female journalist - Northshore Saint
Well his thoughts on archetypes are based on Carl Jung's metaphysical junk science. He conflates postmodernism with Marxism, arguing that postmodernism is merely Marxist beliefs disguised as something else with the only difference being the change from rich vs poor being oppressor vs oppressed. ...

re: Jordan Peterson doodles while debating a BBC female journalist - Northshore Saint
Jordan Peterson is not brilliant by any stretch of the imagination. He's a pseudo intellectual who throws together a fancy word salad duping some into believing he knows what he's talking about but he really doesn't if you actually listen to what he's saying. The fact that people think he's this gre...

re: Which member of the Dome Patrol do you put on this team to get us over the top? - Northshore Saint
Sam Mills would probably fill a bigger need at MLB, but I'm taking Ricky Jackson. Him rushing off the weak side from his LB position next to Davenport and Cam on the opposite end. They would skull drag opposing QBs. Matty Ice would shite his pants....

re: Vegas being in the NHL finals annoys me - Northshore Saint
I think it's cool in a way. Back in the mid 90s I was a big fan of Jacksonville when they went on that playoff run to the AFC championship game in only their second season in existence. Mark Brunell was fun to watch back. He was a pretty much a younger version of Steve Young with his running ability...

re: How difficult is it to get your kid into a military service academy - Northshore Saint
From my experience, the best officers were the ones that were prior enlisted. My last CO started out enlisted. If the service academy falls through for them you could always have them enlist in the reserves first, let them pay for school, then apply for OCS later on. ...

re: Taysom Hill Turning Heads - Northshore Saint
That would be great if he could develop into a starting caliber QB with that kind of athleticism. But how many years would we be able to rely on him? He's already in his late 20s so if Drew plays two more seasons you're looking at him making his first start ever at 30 years old. I think Barrett woul...

re: How fast was Billy Cannon? - Northshore Saint
From his wikipedia page it was listed he ran a 9.6 100 yard dash in high school which equals to 10.5 100 meter. Adrian Peterson ran around a 10.5 100m. Dude would have been an all pro today. He had speed, power, and could catch out of the backfield. Interesting facts: In 1961 for the AFL Houst...

re: Was the Montreal Screwjob A Work or A Shoot? - Northshore Saint
It was a shoot. Sad thing is it didn't have to come down to that if Bret would've just agreed to drop the title at Survivor Series or before that. Vince was afraid, and for good reason, that Bret would show up on Nitro with the WWF belt. ...

re: NFL Razorbacks: Jonathan Williams fits Saints SEC backfield - Northshore Saint
I wouldn't count Edmunds out. He played well in the limited snaps he got in the preseason and he took it too the house in the Buffalo game, although it was after Ingram and Kamara destroyed them....

re: How would your state fare in a war with each of its neighboring states? - Northshore Saint
Texas can just sit out and wait for a Hurricane to hit NOLA.  GG Texas.
Like the one that crippled Houston more recently? Both states are susceptible to hurricanes like the rest of the Gulf Coast. Like I said, going straight up against Texas is a no win situation for us. Onl...
why would we attack ?
Access to the Mississippi River, Another port to have under their control, natural resources. If you're going to ask reasons for ridiculous scenario such as a war between two states then that's what I would think.
we have a navy, you dont could surr...

re: How would your state fare in a war with each of its neighboring states? - Northshore Saint
Tx vs La would be interesting as both states have nuclear weapon stockpiles. Both sides of the Sabine would be so armed.
Louisiana would have to take a defensive posture. Draw invading forces into the swamps where the locals would have the advantage due to familiarity. Use guerrill...
