I'm here to watch politards call him a POS for attributing his survival to Britain's National Health Service, which he campaigned to preserve in his final years.
I respect Hawking, but I doubt the type of health system he was born into determined his survival.

The survival rate of his disease in America vs UK is probably the same.

Sorry if I offended you, Walter. I can't help it as it's how I deal with tragic losses. Please be tolerant of my unorthodox coping mechanisms.

If I remember correctly the very first software he used was developed in the USA. Later on (after becoming more famous) he had the option to have a British accent but he/everyone was used to the American accent that it actually would've been weird to switch.

Sorry I can’t accept your apology

It just doesn’t come across as sincere

Your words are hurtful. I hope you learn from this and show a little more compassion towards the next person that dies

You should learn to be more open minded and accepting of those around you. I can't help who I am.

It’s just amazing he was able to live so long with such a debilitating disease, not to mention continue to be a leader in such a complex academic discipline.

And he was banging one of his nurses and wheeled away with her.

RIP

Great man. Did so much with his life given his circumstances. I'd be so mad at the world if I was diagnosed with ALS no way I'd try and be useful.

Quite possibly the smartest person of my entire life.

Whether on the MSB, OT, PT, etc., it's impressive how you can make such consistently terrible posts across the various boards.
