St Tammany's next big development

Looks like this could be a good thing if done right.

This is the problem. They will build, build, and build some more and then ten years later figure out what do to about roads.
Same thing with the Ascension Parish.

I used to look forward to the ‘split’ in BR and once I got past the O’Neal lane exit it was smooth sailing to Slidell just a few years ago, now traffic backs up like clockwork for zero reason in Dehnam, Hammond, & Covington to Lacombe. ....& that’s w/ 2 ‘mega shopping’ areas opened, a third will be a living hell traffic wise

Have you seen Slidell? It’s already a shithole.

It won't be done right and be a burden in many ways but will make a handful of people more wealthy.

Add it to the already long list of reasons why I am looking for jobs out of state.

It looks like they want to build a new interstate exit right next to the dell bridge. Why not utilize that and then add another one farther west of the site.

Hopefully they can add some connector roads to airport road, hwy 434, and hwy 36 also to help with the logistics aspect.

Would be also cool to see them re-do the Slidell airport to handle cargo flights.

Brister doing work. She and her crew won’t be happy until St. Tammany becomes the northern version of the Westbank.

Oh, it’s east St Tammany. Makes sense.

St Tammany needs fewer people and less development, not more.

St Tammany has the highest rate of milfs per capita in the continental United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The press release cracks me up-

quote:

Stirling Properties announces that Bilten Park has been named Louisiana’s #1 megasite for future advanced manufacturing and logistics.

No mention of who named it number one. I am going to guess the people selling the property?
