This sounds exactly like an answer my wife and her friends give each other [all women really] … The idea of having a flexible schedule does not compute with them. The literally can’t function if plans call for going with the flow.

A combo of sponsors, geography, family money, & nepotism
The winter sports probably even lean heavier on the rich kids who grew up near a mountain or something like that.
Take any sledding sport for example there’s like four or five people on the Olympic luge team that just so happen to all be from Lake Placid, NY. … which is also, one of two locations in the US where someone can get on a sledding track.
They’re not all just trust fund kids trying to make it, but the Olympic committee does local outreach to find athletes that may have the aptitude for said sledding events.

re: Does it seem like the hype and anticipation for this Super Bowl is less this year?

Even with the uninspired logo used this year, they had the perfect opportunity to make the Golden Gate Bridge the trophy base in the middle with the football on top, if they insist on that trophy silhouette.
Looks like they’ve given up and just use Canva now.

Shitting on Kenzel because you hate Brian Kelly is shitty behavior. You're an embarrassment to LSU fans and should be ashamed of yourself.
Even the announcers were clowning him after calling his dad “my boy” …. It was super cringey and is rightfully clowned.

Not going this year but froze our asses off last year in my 3rd Rolex 24. (Of course the weather looks mild this year. All three times I’ve been it’s been freezing or freezing and record setting rainfall, 2019)
[the 4am to sunrise stint was some of the coldest I’ve ever been, and we were plenty layered, but the payoff for the sunrise is well worth it. Sunset was fantastic too last year]
*im most excited to see Zillich going for the overall win. Kid was so fast last year

Jesus Christ, over 90 seconds in, his slow arse draw is still on the intro, and then hits the ad read…. Over 2 mins to begin the freaking point is not how you actually get listeners. Boomers still stuck thinking YouTube is just the radio…

She’s a terrible actress. Made the first part of the movie really hard to get through. Rest of the movie was ok, I fell asleep before the end and haven’t felt like going back to watch it.
re: Iowa State has 17 players returning, 1 starter. The transfer portal is ruining CFB.
Posted by BlueWaffleHouse on 12/29/25 at 9:18 pm to Roaad
An easy solution would be to treat CFB like professional soccer. When a player signs, that team also ‘owns’ the transfer rights. If a guy enters the portal, they can still go wherever they want, but the school they transfer too must pay the pre set transfer fee [*based on the player’s premium] to the school he left.
This way smaller schools are incentivized to develop players for big ROIs on players, and mid to top level teams get funds to replace a player that leaves.
*Plus you’re. Putting a ‘luxury cap’ on the ‘rich’ teams and will slow them from gobbling up everyone good at once.

He’s always enjoyed the smell of his own farts. Now instead of taking 400 words to say something that he could’ve in 50, he takes 800 words. (Same applies to his excessively long ad reads, inserting mamaw and acting like quick trip gas stations are some

I don’t even care about the teams outside the top 8, but I do have a problem with teams outside the top 15 getting in over a Miami, Vandy, etc who might actually beat or be competitive with a #5 or #6 seed
I think it could even get worse if Duke beats UVA. There could be 2 G5 teams in if their conference champs are ranked higher than Duke

People also like to forget that he had USC with a good enough record to play in the conference title game (they had the best record in the south divison of the pac 12) but they were ineligible due to the Reggie Bush stuff. He was coaching/recruiting while having to get players who knew they couldnt play for anything past the regular season.
I’m glad someone else is bringing this up. Lane was a coach on either 4 or 5 National Championship winning teams, had USC in the Pac12 title game (if they would’ve been eligible) and Lane has the highest winning % of any coach in FAU history.
Lane’s FAU tenure: 11-3, 5-7, 11-3 w/ 2 CCs, & the 5-7 year they had 3 losses by less than 3 points.
FAU’s records bf Lane: 3-9, 3-9, 3-9, 6-6, 3-9, 1-11
re: Why do people keep saying Kiffin will eventually leave LSU for Bama?
Posted by BlueWaffleHouse on 12/1/25 at 1:01 pm to Switchup91
The only direction going from making $13m+ at LSU would be to the NFL. [According to articles on google] there’s only 8 coaches in the nfl making more than $13m and 6 of them have won superbowls.]
*Ben Johnson supposedly makes $13m coaching the Bears & Vrabel & Shanahan are @ 14m for reference
In theory, the only ‘threats’ to pull Kiffen away from LSU would be the Cowboys or NY Giants at this point.

Pare is ok, but his long winded takes and long winded self interruptions to bring up “inside jokes” get very tiring, plus the also long winded ad interruptions he does on his show are very annoying.
No way I could watch his show live, it would drive me nuts

Idk what’s the cringiest part of all this, calling his dad “my boy”, the undershirt, or the “long live/Free BK” part? Smh.
This isn’t even some dumb 18 year old kid, he’s gotta be 23/24 I believe?
I wonder how awkward he made everything in the locker room? Did he still practice with the team after the A&M game, attend meetings, etc…? Surely the players just tolerated the nepo-walk on?

Both games paid out the Overs by halftime I believe, was easy money. Would’ve been even more but all of my spread bets were cancelled thanks to them not playing a full 4 quarters.
*The MN game was essentially a really bad beat, as they weren’t going to shorten the 4th Q, and ended up with a lightning delay w/ a few mins left and they said screw it and just called the game. SMH.

Generally yes, but espn bet had recently been sending me pretty good promos after not using it for a month or two, make a bet, cash out, and forget about it for another month or so, rinse, repeat.
I guess the ScoreBet will drop some
Good promos once they launch the rebrand.
