That area was always curious to me, they have that strange abandoned overpass that leads to nowhere, the road from the back of the airport to nowhere.
I mean doesn't it cost a lot to build those overpasses? There aren't any other abandoned ones on I-12 that I know of..
I've driven over it and it led to nothing. What were they built for?

It looks like a big block of empty land and the press release says "We're gonna build something here someday!"

that's dixie ranch hunting club now. but it used to be the hwy, before the national guard armory moved in. The road put the backside of the armory into a venerable position so they shut it off.
the road is still there through part of the woods, but the backside of the military property is patrolled.
you can hunt deer from the road, but if you get to close the military guys come over an intercom and tell you to GTFO.(all of this is per my brother and cousin just now who were in the hunting club)

I feel like The north shore considers itself part of the New Orleans metro but the New Orleans metro doesn’t consider the north shore part of it. They’re not really associated with one another from my experience but I would like to see Tammany grow. But first build the correct infrastructure so you’re not fricked later on. If it’s growing as fast as you anticipate, then build the damn roads first.

that only applies to transplants from the southshore, northshore originals dont feel that way at all and are not fans of the invasion.

I see where AP wants to make developers foot the bill for infrastructure, which is funny because it wasn't that log ago they were against these impact fees, and used the lack of them as selling points to get projects from EBR.
