So did Gravy’s Waistline

My only question is, how much of this was due to the influx of people who moved here following Katrina?

This is genius.
Alternating showing how little impact the split would be on parish, while at the same time pointing out how wasteful BRGov is.

in 2009? I wouldn't imagine much. The reality is the projections made immediately after Katrina for long term growth never came to fruition.

Katrina happened in 2005.

I can't wait to watch SWB and Gravy have fricking meltdowns when St. George gets enough signatures this time around

What is hilarious about this whole thing is the people who are against it truly despise those who think Alton Sterling was overblown. They want the like out of their faces and not in their discussions but now they do not want said people to leave.
It is our faults Sterling was killed. And it is our faults that people who cannot foot the bill themselves do not want SG to happen.
The "racists" are evil no matter what...but they need someone to foot the bill while they refuse to work and stay on unnecessary and damn near fraudulent stamps.
Sound like anyone you may know?

To this day, I firmly believe there is still absolutely no reason that the Alton Sterling shooting should've blown up the way it did. It's completely bullshite that it had the repercussions that it did.

They had enough last time.
They'll just have to "throw out" thousands more this time.

50,000 people remained in the metro area permenantly.
Also, are they citing these stats somewhere? Everything I found was that EBR Library budget was closer to $40M and with this one, how do they define major cities?

Can Kip Holden run again?
Serious question. He should be Lt Gov. by now.

Yes. He'll be up there, so there's some thought that he may heavily endorse someone this time. Or run and hire a rockstar CAO that will allow him to do ribbon cuttings, council meetings, and Duvics happy hour.
