Any of you ever experience this?
What’s the reasoning behind not allowing your emploee’s spouses to attend?

Someone is going to attempt coitus

The boss probably banged your wife and doesn’t want the awkwardness.

Because historically they get liquored up and sleep with your co workers

Sounds like the boss just wants to make sure some of their employees get to bang each other.

Because upper management doesn’t want Brenda from accounting blowing someone’s husband.

So I can bang the hot chick in payroll without her husband around

Real talk.
What fun would it possibly be for anyone else by allowing everyone’s spouse to show up?
The point of a work Christmas party is to get a little drunk and let your hair down and have fun. All your spouse is gonna do is keep you way too reserved and hold back what fun you would have had.
Plus all that’s gonna happen is one of the guys from work is gonna say some inappropriate stuff to someone’s wife and cause issues.
It’s better off this way.

My wife doesn’t work. We’re not peasants

Why you trying to cock block your wife, brah?

Money, forces workers to interact

Every time I took mine she got drunk and acted like a freaking idiot.
I prefer "spouses not allowed".

Ours is employees only. Probably has to do with cost.

Clearly bossman doesn't think any of his male employees have good looking wives and/or girlfriends

Never experienced this but if I did I could promise you my wife would not be going
