Y’all are retarded

The Louisiana economy will never improve no matter what the carpetbaggers say. Y’all let the pogey boats mess up our fishing for no economic benefit and this will be the same way

nextspaceflight.com

Real time info on all past, present & proposed spaceflights and launchpads across the globe including SpaceX
This is a really cool website
Amazon is currently launching a buttload of satellites
They have 200 up there today and plan another 3,200 in the very near future as part of the Amazon LEO project which will compete with SpaceX Starlink for global broadband internet
They plan to begin service mid 2026

I have also heard this from several credible sources, although Grok says nothing is happening when I ask it.

Duck hunting is done.

Wouldn't the majority of the land be a buffer zone? Seems like it'd keep habitat intact. Yeah, you might not be able to hunt it but it'd be good for the ducks. I'd rather it stay intact as habitat and me not be able to hunt it than have it all be developed for something else.

Why is everyone hell bent on destruction of Louisiana land? We are being targeted.

Don’t forget the possible water contamination.

If you’re talking about the water deluge system, they use potable water. Wildlife impact shouldn’t be an issue either - they did a study at Cape Canaveral and the wildlife there has actually increased.

I'm trying to imagine all the execs at SpaceX being taken to the finest steak house in the parish, but only to realize it's Hebert's in Kaplan.

They probably just hangout at Graves’ camp in Pecan Island and grill steaks out there.

Too late, Ducks stopped coming this far south in decent numbers years ago. My buddy hasn't seen duck near White Lake and stopped hunting for the most part except Teal.

Louisianans get all excited that something important like this, or Disney, might come its way. Then talk about ‘what could have been’ for decades.

Reality is, it was just ‘rumors’ started at the coffee shop, or some drunken talk at a crawfish boil.

In the end, nothing happens except crime, traffic, PI billboards, taxes, and pollution.

It’s too bad because with competent politicians - elected by competent voters - Louisiana could actually be a really great and functioning place.

We didn't let shite. Landry & LDWF is solely to blame for allowing the Menhaden industry to continue to operate unobstructed in Louisiana.

I only question it because I don’t really see the benefits vs their already established facilities in Texas and it breaks the “rule” of having a coast to the east for safety reasons.

The land is cheap and it's closer to the facility in texas that they are building the Starship rocket in. There is a huge body of water to the south for the "safety reasons". Maybe they have figured out a way to launch rockets pointed to the south? or they don't care that it might take more fuel or maybe the rocket turns towards the east after travelling south over the gulf.

Maybe the earth really is flat and there was no benefit launching to the east and elon just decided to not continue the lie.

edit. maybe launched "southeast" would work.

That's a perfect spot. Not far from Starbase, TX, to barge Starships over for launch.

I'd guess very little of the land will be developed. Probably less than a 1000 acreas. Could become a duck sanctuary.
