I would argue that unless it is advertised as a restaurant and museum, people will assume it is only what it is advertised as.. A restaurant.

The owner is a retired marine and earned the Silver Star in Vietnam. He doesn’t care about any whining idiots.

If it’s a nice piece of memorabilia, display it a different way. In a case, with a placard or something explaining what it is and why it’s there. Hanging it on the wall most definitely isn’t the correct way to go about doing it.
