Guy was an unhinged lunatic. The fact that people sympathize with him is fricking insane.
The library he demolished had children in it and the owner of the grocery store he demolished was on his side in attempting to block the development of the concrete plant. Dude was a grade A a-hole.

We go skiing at granby ranch nearly every winter. Jist 20 mins outside fraser/winter park. Awesome little area, vast and beauitful part of the state.

I think it's more of a meme story than actual hero worship. We all intuitively get the idea of a reasonable guy getting fed up and doing something incredible, and since nobody died but him, it's an easy one to treat that way in a pretty lighthearted fashion.
