Were you at in SoCal? My wife is from Escondido, family in Encinitas and very close friends from LSU in Carlsbad and Oceanside. Wife’s grandfather helped start the LSU alumni association in San Diego. Former Navy

The same one that puts on the annual crawfish boil out here? Or, used to? Been a couple of years since I've been. Last time I went it was at SDCCU stadium when it was halfway torn down.

Congrats on the new pet! I’m a cat person. The wife and I have a girl who we’ve had since she was born and is indoor.
We were also blessed with an outdoor miracle. This other cat we have randomly showed up one cold winter night, freezing and pregnant. We just couldn’t turn her away. We brought her in so she could get warm. She eventually stayed around, had her litter. Once she and her three girls gained our full trust, we got them all fixed and they have been our outdoor miracles since 2018.

Yes to the crawfish and getting Zydeco music there. Friends went this past year until they ran out of booze. We’ll be attending next spring.

Cats like this are awesome. I have two that literally just hang out with me all day- wouldn't trade them for anything
Clipped ears are usually signs the cat was TNR'd (tag/neutered/released). Doesn't mean he doesn't have a subsequent owner so I would still check around, but a decent chance he's yours now

I typically hate cats, and they make me sneeze….. but I really and strongly like when people (or other species) take initiative. Good on him.
