Cat is ear-tipped. Probably a stray. Ear-tipping is typically done by veterinarians to identify a cat which has been neutered, to identify animals who have already undergone the procedure.

Clipped ear means catch and release after spay/neuter.
We have a girl cat we found who was a catch and release who has turned into a great pet for us. We took her in because she was starving at a park we went to regularly with our kids and after a week we realized she wasn’t anyone’s so took her home.

That's what I'm thinking. This little baw obviously belongs to someone. I think he got out though. He's too well behaved in a house to be a hood rat street cat.
I was going to let him go but he made himself at home. I'm thinking I'll ask the neighbors and if I he doesn't belong to any of them, I'll put up some signs.
Also, thanks to everyone for the reminder about fleas. I just checked him and he's good, no fleas. That definitely leads me further to believe he belongs to someone and may have gotten out. Seems way too well behaved to be a stray/wild cat.
