Cue the ignorant "Muh, Boomers" cry babies.
Should be entertaining.

Hope this covers the mortgage on their vacation home.

More than most working stiffs get. Congrats, boomers. You deserve it from that 50 cents you contributed each paycheck back in the 60s-80s.

So if your job gives you less than 3.6% raise then you are worse off

Woo hooo a little extra gambling money.

More like 6%+. You know it’s bad when even the government is conceding the COL increase is nearly 4%

Only a 3.6% cola increase in your literal free money giveaway. When will the injustices visited on the long suffering Boomer ever cease?

Yes….I once quit a job because the raises weren’t keeping up with the cost of living increases over time.

I won’t even recover the principal amount that I and my employer contributed on my behalf, unadjusted for inflation, for the nearly 50 years I contributed. That Ponzi scheme is rock solid and every working stiff gets bent over by it, unless they work for the government.

My bi-yearly COL raises are 4%. Still feels like it's not enough to cover increases. Thankfully I've gotten 2 other decent raises and a lot of bonuses in the past 3 or 4 years

Ponzi scheme
And the Ponzi only works if there's enough money flowing into it. The current population replacement rate is slowing and we're going to be fricked.

Coincidentally I just received a 5.5% raise on my promotion to Assistant Head Burger Flipper
Take that boomers
Take that boomers

It's probably worse than that. Government inflation calculations are conservatively pegged to broad economic factors while people generally feel the sting of specific things like rent, groceries, gas, insurance, etc.

Isn’t that why they all eventually fail?
