You have got to be shitting me. Seriously.

I let my kids play outside. I don't expect some fricking dog to be roaming and waiting to bite.

No dog should be roaming the streets. I agree.

She is very protective of my daughter, but she loves kids.

That said, any dog that is startled may bite, just out of surprise.

Not gonna lie, my heart skipped a beat when it happened.

Wait, wait, wait... People on here actually think pit bulls are "harmful" by nature and not because of who is raising them?

But at the same time I had a dog growing up that roamed the hood. Slept on people's porches. Got fed scraps. Gone for a couple days sometimes. But as a parent, I can't stand to see a dog roaming. Immediately on the defensive. But my hood was woods growing up. I can't justify it though.

That would contradict the trust you had in this recent incident, where you trusted any and everything in this world while your 4 year old play in a state park without keeping a watchful eye on him.

I have a large scar on my left calf from a pit attack. I was 8 or 9, and riding my bike in front of my house. My neighbors pit attacked me. It knocked me off my bike and was throwing me around. Luckily my dad was outside. He beat the crap out of the dog with a 2x4, and it scampered off. My Dad called the cops. The dumbass neighbors didn't do anything to prevent a similar situation, and the dog ended up going after another kid on my street. Then the dog was put down.

This was a dog I was familiar with, and it had always been friendly. The neighbors were shocked when it attacked me. These dogs are violent by nature. No way around it.

Yeah he was doing some bull shite like working on his boat motor instead of hovering over me while I did the normal activities I did everyday.
