i guess you don't know what to tell yourself either. Good talk.
I don't need to tell myself anything. I know how to watch my son and keep things like this from not happening to him.

good job dad. make sure in between the age of 4/5 and 8/9 that you have talk with him when he's transitioned to being able to defend himself from predators and animal attacks that he's aware of his new found responsibility in life.

If he really was 50 feet away, the posters redirecting the issue to you and your parenting are reaching. That's across the yard.
It's odd they would rather attack you than accept that a dog attacked your child and you handled it very well. I'm sure the POS dog appreciates their efforts.

I hope luck is in your kids favor as he grows up.
The fact that you can't see that you did something wrong is sad.

has this been even established or not? sounds a bit assumptuous.
you drew a line in the sand between the differences of an 8/9 yr old and a near 5 yr old and have been unable to support such logic with reasons and logic.

GRTiger,
you let your 4 year old play at the park without watching him?
Posted on 4/4/16 at 3:11 pm to TeddyPadillac
I've watched my 2 year old at the park from 50 feet.
I honestly don't think you can picture that distance in your head. Or you didn't see it at first, and pride will not allow you to say "oh shite, 50 feet? Yea that's nothing."
Thats 17 yards. 20 steps. You keep your kid up your arse?

this wasn't "at a park unattended" but teddy needs to let every know how good of a daddy he is.

He sounds like he has a pit bull, which makes him a shitty father if he actually does have kids.
Posted on 4/4/16 at 3:21 pm to GRTiger
He wasn't even in the area to know that there was a pitbull type dog around, so how close was he?
He had to hear from his 4 year old what happened, b/c he was no where in sight to say what happened.

Would have put it down right there.

Are you really calling what happened to your kid an attack? Your kid got a little nip, you need to get over it and move along. To be honest, I'm not sure I believe it was even a dog bite. First you said he was off his bike, then you said he was on it, then you said he fell of his bike, something about your story stinks.
Jesus you're a shitty poster

THis. If it was my dog who bit a child, I would have had no hesitation in killing the damn thing myself. Never understood the human attachment to animals.

I agree.

but biting should never happen if you do your job as an owner.
He is a good little dog. When he isn't in protective mode he is a good dog, funny little fricker as well. He loves kids, he plays with kids as if he thinks he is one of them, easiest dog I ever house trained, etc.. He is just protective as hell and is more aggressive towards men.
I actually have two dogs, the other one is a mx breed, I Jack Russell seems to be the most noticeable features, but when the other dog runs at someone, she (the jack russell mix) will run & get in front of him & bark at him.. One day there was this old dude going around knocking on people's door asking to wash their car & my neighbors told me he was asking for money when they said they didn't need their car washed. He knocked on my door, my dog went nuts before I could get to the door & by that time the old dude ran to the end of my drive way, I opened the door & dude was like "nevermind"..
