So my son was a victim of a Pit Bull bite

considering all circumstances, it was a best case scenario. He's not even 5 yet, was riding bike, something or another he was getting back on his bike when the dog came up behind him and nipped his leg. He was wearing jeans which probably helped, decent flesh wound though right below knee outside leg. at a state park camping when this happened, dog was being walked by a juvenile. 4 year old dog, may have had a bit of lab, all black dog, "never happened before", family was about as nice as can be but apologies can't fix a kid. Extremely thankful it wasn't worse.

You should have called animal control and had them put the dog down... or just stomped it's fricking head in right in front of the nice family.

not sure what now.
state park authority was notified. he then called local pd to make police report. owner supposed to contact me today to have shot records sent my way.
not sure if i should contact animal control of where they live which is not where incident occurred.

it was a pit. we heard earlier in day it was pure pit, but later it was told to police that it had some lab too.

Sue his arse. Your son is incredibly lucky, had he fallen down the dog might have gone after his neck.
