All these other mayors have to be laughing at Louisiana thinking, “You spent HOW much tearing down your statues???”
Laughing at Dallas too paid $500k-1mil to take down a Lee statue. They tried to do it "in the middle of the night," but the crane couldnt handle it. So took a bit find one out of Houston that could.
Funny thing is the mayor pro-tem, typical black race baitor, that was pushing it with the white, black lovin, cuck mayor, was just indicted a couple weeks ago for taking $450k in bribes from a bus camera company.

Are they, though?
New Orleans being the exception, of course.
Robert E. Lee still stands in Charlottesville.
A lot of the states in the SE have state-level laws that protect these monuments.

Can you not separate the original intent of flying the Confederate Flag at the SC State House vs. the intent of the Silent Sam statue?
Whatever you think the original intent of the flag on the dome was it has nothing to do with the reason for placing the Battle Flag at the monument. Which the NAACP agreed to.

You learned it here folks! Don't put yourself out there to achieve what you believe in! Stay at home and type.
What are they trying to achieve exactly? I would think they have bigger problems than a statue nobody knows about.
People are so stupid. The level of stupidity reached keeps surprising me.

Being the majority is meaningless if these types of actions continue. Why vote on anything if we can just do/take it ourselves.
This was proven when gay marriage was pushed onto the country as a whole, when the supreme court essentially overturned the "NO" vote by the voters of california.
The "power of the vote" has been diminished.

You know what would be even more of an achievement? And this one would actually fix the problem of what's going on in southern society:
Go to school, graduate, become employed, get married and/or have kids, provide for family. Keep your dick in your pants and stay faithful to your wife. Parent your kids. Pass down the tradition to your kids.

Shame on UNC for not having a Kappa Alpha Order with balls.

And I'm sure UNC has laws against destruction of property but that doesn't protect monuments from lawless protesters that tear them down.

I didn't realize the government pushed you into a gay marriage. I hope you are happy with your partner.

Rightfully so, that's why we have a Constitution and we aren't a true democracy. We could all vote to take TOSOV's land and $ with a solid majority, but our system of laws protecting your liberty makes it where we can't.

A group that supposedly abhors mob rule engages in it.
I have friends who thought this was great.
I asked them "what if some President Obama opponents toppled his statue because they didn't like him?
If you can't win by persuasion, then you must not have much of an argument.
