Why was my post funny? $25 an hour is basically a living wage at this point. You are scraping by at $25 per hour. They won't get it, but $20 an hour would be a good start towards an actual living wage. I don't say these are "starter jobs." They aren't for a lot of the workers....

None of these demands are unreasonable. What is unreasonable is that people will reduce their tips if the meal prices go up. They should demand mandatory tips (15% minimum). Waffle Houses are hovels, but the food has surprising appeal....
