A spice company founded by Al Copeland. I wonder how many people out there actually do this and get away with it? Any of you ballers out there at least fudge on your resume a little?

quote:

A 41-year-old Slidell woman faces up to 10 years in prison after being convicted of stealing another woman's identity via social media and using fake credentials to obtain a high paying job at the spice company founded by the late entrepreneur Al Copeland.

quote:

The crime came to light in April of 2016 when a Diversified Foods employee contacted the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office regarding White, who had provided a resume with fraudulent social security and driver's license numbers to obtain an executive level job. White had been hired in September 2015 as a human resources manager at the company's Covington office at a salary of $95,000 per year. Five months later, she was promoted to senior human resources director and her annual pay was raised to $105,000, the District Attorney's Office reported.

quote:

Company officials became suspicious when White had trouble "performing duties within the educational level and experience listed on her resume" and when she began delegating many tasks assigned to her, according to the DA's news release.

I wonder who gave her the promotion. That person should be a little nervous about their job security

Damn. So apparently I've been doing it all wrong for 10 years now. I just gotta steal someone's credentials.

Thats some impressive initiative honestly, I can't even be mad at that.

Nobody said anything when Dick Whitman climbed the corporate ladder as Don Draper. Its sexist to go after this woman for the same thing

Wait, she couldn't perform daily duties and delegated her work to other but got a 10k raise and senior HR title before they realized this. Who the hell evaluated her and gave her a raise before figuring this out.

I don’t know, but apparently this woman hired her friend as asst controller who wound up being promoted to controller and was found out because she had no idea what she was doing

Given that it was Slidell, I thought the headline was referring to the five finger jobs that just opened up over there.

I'd just like to know what HR work she couldn't do? I could teach myself 99% of any HR person i've ever met's job in a week. I'm not saying being a high end HR manager is easy, simply that its not like engineering, accounting, coding, etc. that takes years of experience. I can't believe once you have the job for a year she couldn't wing it.

The other half makes over six figures and she's just a Senior Benefits Manager. Granted it's for a big company though.

I’m more interested in how she got promoted if she was struggling to do any assignments handed to her.

They have no one to blame but themselves. There's no way that this person should have been able to get through an executive-level interview process without the slightest suspicion that she didn't know what the hell she was doing. Clearly the hiring manager or committee threw a bunch of softballs in the interviews or didn't really interview her at all.

How is someone smart enough to steal an identity and gain employment but too stupid to do an hr job? How is ANYONE too stupid to do an hr job?
