I just watched the entire press conference and thought Pete knocked it out of the park. He actually showed energy, kept wanting to put the focus on the players, end didn't come across as a dork like what we're used to seeing.
just watched his press conference. Honestly I loved it. Kept it about the players, made sure that the media were well aware he doesn’t want the focus on him. The cussing was a little excessive but I don’t mind it, Pete comes across as just an average country dude with the vocabulary to match. I thought it was interesting he made a point to say he didn’t ask for the job, he loved his DC job and still referred to himself as “interim coach”.

All things considered I think we match up well enough with our side of the bracket. Just win game 1 and we’ll worry about the rest later.

I’d rather keep Chambliss another season than Simmons

We also had an OL out of Nola flip from LSU this morning

I dont know why LK wouldnt put Frank W. And O on staff immediately.
I know they coached together at USC & UT but do you think there’s a tiny voice in the back of Lanes mind saying “he’s already had the LSU head job before, he became interim when I was fired from USC, maybe some boosters want that to happen here and him be LSU HC again” and he’s trying to avoid that possibility?
Yeah we have some big money folks. Obviously we aren’t gonna be on the level of Texas or A&M but we’re better off than certain other SEC schools.

Big match Saturday.
should be a good one. You know emery is going to throw everything at us to get us to stumble. I just worry about that game with no Saliba or Gabriel (and potentially no Mosquera)
7 games in 20 days. 4 down 3 to go with 10/12 points gained. That was the type of game you have to grind out and win if you want to be champions. It wasn’t our best but considering how high stakes the last three matches have been it’s understandable that we’re pretty worn out. Time to rest up since we get the early kickoff Saturday.
Merino has amazing instincts. And he’s an absolutely filthy finisher. But sometimes it’s like he makes kicking the ball look like the most painful thing in the world

lit up the stat sheet winning a national title at EMCC
that’s why i said he would’ve been Good Bo and come in clutch winning us a natty had we made it
fricks sake man. Timber finally gets a rest and it doesn’t even last a half. Now 3 CBs injured.

White looks very good today at least. And Odegaard being back really makes the right side look lively.

He led the entire country in picks in 2012. We only signed Buchanan and Kincaid out of HS that season. Neither one of them was ever really going to do anything for us. I get that Bo was his boy from asu but did freeze really not think maybe he should get someone less turnover prone?
I loved Bo and him being a gunslinger was fun but surely you have to think about giving him some competition at that point

Holy fricking shite. I thought it was fake at first so i had to go look. I guess i erased most of them from my mind but that’s absolutely insane.

Wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if it’s above 25
Feels like he had at least 10 his first year here. And then of course the 13 EB fumble. But the one that still haunts me to this day is the pick in red stick. fricking hated freeze for even allowing him to go on the field. Kick the fg and win it in overtime.

Hell now I’m getting worked up over a game 11 years ago
Odegaard is finally back!

Hopefully Zubi, Rice, Cala & Merino all get subbed off at HT or around an hour. We need them healthy and taking some minutes/miles off their legs now will help come later this month and April/may.

Ironically I don't think we had the offense to win it because Bo turned the ball over so many damn times in the worst way possible.
nah bro Good Bo would’ve shown up for SECCG/playoff time, trust.

Wasn’t his HS coach a big state guy and basically steered him towards them/wouldn’t let us talk to him? We would’ve had the top 3(!!) players in the entire country sign with us. Unheard of.

Either way, i 100% believe we win a national championship in 2014 if we had signed him. Maybe 2015 too.

We should bring back the gray road jerseys every once in a while. I know people hated them but I always loved them
they’re classic. I’d love to have them back in the rotation, especially if it was a once a year thing.

Hell even though we always lost in them id like to see them back on the diamond too (honorary photo of the GOAT outfielder)

I’m cool with the sip stuff as long as we don’t paint it in the end zones again. I really hope we go back to our traditional red navy and grey uniform combinations. The occasional powder jersey or white with powder accents is fine but not 8 times a year like we’ve been doing.
Realtree is fine as a one time a year thing
