Yea, great idea to hold people accountable today for what people did 60 years ago. Makes sense.

You don’t think they are going to force the admin to change the name of the library?

Could they tear it down and rebuild it so that it does not look like shite when they rename it?

Because if they could, I'd be ok with the name change.

Yeah, in 1961.

1961 or 1861, dates mean nothing to the SJW, unless of course we're talking about another liberal icon, then anything older than 2 weeks ago was ancient news and should be disregarded.

Asher looks like he used to be a high school English teacher but the kids made him quit because they just made fun of him all day.

About time you racists
quote:

Louisiana Tigers was the common nickname for certain infantry troops from the State of Louisiana in the Confederate army during the American Civil War. Originally applied to a specific company, the nickname expanded to a battalion, then to a brigade, and eventually to all Louisiana troops within the Army of Northern Virginia. Although the exact composition of the Louisiana Tigers changed as the war progressed, they developed a reputation as fearless, hard-fighting shock troops.

I'm pretty sure the OP means that Middleton's name will not be on the Library much longer.
I mean, the guy was a stud in WW2 and an LSU President, but who's going to bat for him with this here letter floatin around in the cyberspace? That is BAD. Should never have been put on paper that's for sure.

Make it the Beckham Library (with a $5mm donation obviously) from Odell and his mama and daddy. WIN WIN.

Wait is Asher telling us that some people weren’t yet ready to let segregation go in 1961 in the Deep South? This is ground breaking shite right here.

I would bet anything Asher is a big ol pussy in person.

You know that will be the goal. And LSU will cave...immediately.

Hello Jose Vargas Library.

Grief counselors will be on campus to help those who have trouble coping with the events that took place....58 years ago.

My family has a family tomb in Greewood Cemetery in NOLA. I recently came across the deed to the tomb and it states on the deed that only Caucasians could be buried in Greenwood.

They need to whitewash Middleton’s name from the LSU history books as if he never existed
