Yes, its time for an update to the book, The Kommisar Disappears, more in line for today's generation. The Cisgender Racist Disappears would be more useful.

The architectural abscess otherwise known as the Middleton Library deserves to be associated with this type of shiite.
Good riddance.
PS: Got a handy to completion from a cooperative co-ed there.
She cleaned up the effluent with notebook paper.
So that was nice.

Aah, memories of my undergraduate days at the Ole War Skule. The African-American students at that time were almost exclusively in graduate programs. Even in large lecture hall undergraduate classes there were no black students.
I don't recall any in the dorms or ever seeing any in dining halls. They were pretty much invisible.

That's an extremely embarrassing letter.

I wonder if UT received advice from other universities?

I was going to say...this might be the opportunity to demolish Middleton and return the quad to its original, intended design.

honestly, that's a sad sight... i just really don't see how you can be a normal human being, read that letter, and not just feel absolutely sad and angry at the overall thought at the time...
sad, bruh... glad that MOST of us have evolved, adapted and changed our outlook, and have sought to better our world and the people that live in it...

Why the surprise? That’s what Jim Crow was like.

Viewing the people of Louisiana in 1961 using the morals and knowledge of 2019. It is dumb to hold people in 1961 accountable like this. That is how we end up with book burning etc...

Yes, but that's not what he is saying. He is saying that reading it today and thinking about the mindset then.
It is crazy to read it and think that was how things were.. And it really wasn't THAT long ago.
