1. No your comment wasn’t out of line. It’s true and usually the case.
2. Her ring envy was not disrespectful to you. Stop being a baby. She saw something she liked and that doesn’t mean it was directed at you. Just something she wanted to talk to you about.
3. You shouldn’t be pissed. Is it a deal breaker that is something that is immoral, unethical, or illegal? No. So what are you getting pissed about?
You both are in the wrong here. Both of y’all are unaware of it. She didn’t realize she was bruising your little man ego. You didn’t realize she was going to twist something which she shouldn’t have.

My first wife’s ring was far larger than my 2nd wife’s, but so was her desire to keep up with the Jones’s. Envy, or jealousy, can be a huge threat to a relationship.

You should have ignored her. The minute you try to rationalize, you've fricked yourself

How does this make him a baby or a little man because he doesn't see the value in expensive rings?

Just because it is not:
quote:

something that is immoral, unethical, or illegal?

does it mean he has to agree to being ok with it.

This is cuck mentality and this baw is right to share his opinion.

It makes him a baby, because he got butthurt that his wife liked someone else's ring.

Has the OP never saw something that he liked and mentioned it to his wife? Even if it's something that he can't afford? Never made the comment, "that's a nice boat" or something to that effect?

Thats not what he said. He mentioned she kept bringing it up and then he told her:

quote:

I told her that the lady is probably somebody’s 2nd wife because the 2nd wife gets a bigger ring

He then explains she is the one that got mad. Not him.

Sounds like to me, from a rational mind, if she wouldn't have twisted it around, he would have went on about his day.

I feel like some of these comments are from beta-tized men and/or women reading more into things than the facts given.

Women are fricking crazy, man. They conjure up shite in their head before they even talk to you and whatever you say just puts them down whatever flowchart they’ve already conjured up in their head to come up with whatever fricked up response is at the bottom of that flowchart.

You can’t and won’t win.

Also, its absolutely hilarious about the comments from people saying "RIP" or "she is right you are wrong". These are from people who have never held frame and will never hold frame.

As a man, you should not EVER be afraid to say what is on your mind. Leader of the house. Act like it.

He escalated the situation, rather than just telling his wife that they obviously can't afford a ring that size. She probably doesn't even have a clue what a ring like that would even cost. So instead of explaining that, he made a dumbass comment that didn't help resolve a conflict, but rather incited it.

So she can have an opinion about a ring and he cant share his?

This is what is wrong with some of you. You have given up before it even starts.

Also, did you even read his post? He clearly stated she knows he cant afford it.

Disagree. He attempted to make a joke in response to her incendiary comment. Instead of seeing the humor as a deflection- which she should have realized - and pursuing a different route to approach “the issue”, she doubled down on her selfishness by getting pissed off and escalating the disagreement.

If women expect men to be omnipotently sensitive to their moods, needs, emotions, etc., they’re gonna have to reciprocate. This shite can’t always go one way.
