TV mounts are so cheap nowadays. I would leave the mounts but don't forget to also leave the vertical bars that attach to the back of the TV! When we bought our house, the previous owners left all their TV mounts but must have kept the mounting bars screwed to the backs of the TVs when they took them. All the mounts were useless at that point. We had to remove all the mounts and reinstall new ones.

If you want them put in the exclusions list. It denotes what is not staying with the house.
If not in the exclusions list buyer assumes and typical practice is that anything that is attached to house stays.
Exclusion list clarifies situation for all involved.
Those brackets are about $280 so just raise the sale price and leave them. IMO taking them off the wall is not worth it dues to time and cost to patch nd paint. Same with TV new TV is better bigger cheaper…..

Normally TV and mounts are taken down and go with the seller in my experience unless otherwise agreed on. Mounts are too specific to TVs

You leave the mount and whatever is needed and take the tv.
Or leave the tv too and use it as an excuse to upgrade.
I still think I might be the only person in the world who hates a mounted tv.

I will not have TV mounted above the fireplace in my new house. After having it for years, and intiially wanting it, I don't like the look or the idea.

I left the TVs. They were all 10 years old. TVs are now cheap throwaways for the most part

Are we twins?
The sellers were kind enough to leave the pull down wall mount above the fireplace in the house we bought last year. However, they took the brackets which mount to the back of the tv's and hang on the wall mount.
Manufacturer wouldn't sell me just the bracket, so I had to buy a new wall mount.

no... why would it? it's the same as mirrors that aren't above vanities in bathrooms and pictures/wall decor

Your entire post is wrong. I posted the verbiage from the purchase agreement on page 1. LREC changed the PA a few years back to include TV mounts because final walk-throughs were becoming a shitshow because sellers were taking the mounts and leaving giant holes in the walls. So they are included with the home now unless specifically written out of the contract.

The house I bought a few years ago, the owners left a 50" practically brand new Samsung in the den. I was actually glad they did this since I had pulled my 65" Samsung from my previous house with the mounts. My TV fit the existing mounts so didn't have to install my mounts so I just installed them in the bedroom with the 50" TV from the den.
This was very much appreciated by the former owners and I will most certainly leave my current TV whenI move.

Those mounts come with an assortment of screws and washers to fit any TV but once you use the ones for your specific TV the rest are typically thrown away. Without that hardware those mounts will be useless to the buyer.
But now Amazon sells hardware only kits for $10 so in that case I say leave the wall mounts because it's a pita to patch and repaint the sheetrock.

not worth it IMO from someone who has moved 4x in 6 years. The TVs get beat to hell.
Just leave it and buy a new one; the tech is so much better year over year anyway, you'll be happy to have a state of the art tv in your brand new house.

When we moved in 2023 our realtor told us to leave them. Same with cabinets and shelves mounted in the garage.

i guess a few years of having a TC writing your contracts will do that, as far as not being as up to date with the changes to the PA
