Saw something strange in the sky early this morning in Metairie

Around 5:30 this morning, I was walking my dog.
Suddenly she stops, and starts gazing towards the west.
I follow her gaze and see three white objects moving towards the east. The three objects looked like satellites - but moving much slower.
They were oriented in a way that they could be the points of an upside down equilateral triangle. They seemed to be pretty high up, possibly in orbit.
The two leading objects faded away first.
Then the bottom third object faded away a few seconds later.
The whole experience lasted about 15 seconds. Below is my artist's rendition of the phenomenon.
Any ideas on what I saw?
