I grew up wrapped. Wife grew up unwrapped.
I shifted to unwrapped because I'm lazy.
.
Which is more common,or which do you use?

Also, how long do kids pretend to believe hoping it gets them more presents?

That’s how I got them as a kid and we do the same.

Some unwrapped, some wrapped. It was always fun to have a little bit of suspense and surprise when opening the wrapped gifts.

This debate nearly cost me a divorce. She says wrapped, I say unwrapped. She won.

I'm still team unwrapped though. To me, it's much more magical for a kid to wake up with the house looking like a toy store rather than a stack of wrapped presents.

Growing up, if Santa was on the paper it was from him, if he wasn't it was from someone else.

My dad had a camera growing up and every present since 1982 is on tape. Crazy, but fun to see what we got.

I prefer the look of presents, the suspense.
The only unwrapped present I can remember was my 1985 Bigfoot powerwheels.

Even bikes were wrapped.

My 12 year old just fessed up & told me he has known since he was 7. His twin brother is still pretending he believes.

Santa has a magical sack, that although it's the size of a decoy bag, it holds every present for every kid.

How would a sack that keeps supplying presents have the time or space to bring along wrapping paper. Give me a break.

How do you wrap stuff that has to be assembled?

For my kids

Big gifts unwrapped, little gifts wrapped. And the day you verbalize that you no longer believe in Santa is the day you stop getting gifts from Santa. My 25 year olds still get gifts from Santa. Not as many as my 3 year old of course, but still.

You assemble it after the kid unwraps it?

Growing up, we use to do wrapped and it was great. However, I remember getting an RC dune buggy and couldn't play with it because the batteries had to charge. Total bummer

So, with my kids, we do unwrapped and put all needed batteries and set-up whatever need to be assembled for the sake of being able to play ASAP.

Wrapped from us on Christmas Eve. Unwrapped from Santa on Christmas morning.

You have kids 25 and 3?? My oldest just turned 17 and I might actually die if I had to raise a new baby now
