Obviously don’t know how to properly prepare it. It is incredible if you prepare wild caught in the proper manner. Don’t over cook it.

I like salmon most ways but when cooked on a cedar plank it’s nasty.

When you have to say it has to be cooked this way and you have to eat this kind usually means the fish is trash in general

I hate how everyone’s like beef is amazing try a ribeye but after snagging some sort of clearance one on my last trip to Walmart and boiling it up I’m unimpressed by cow.

Try a cajun recipe. You want the salmon over cooked by most standards though. A creamy or tangy red sauce would be nice

So, you don’t want to taste the salmon.

Sockeye is the best salmon, imo. Also called red salmon.

I bet a lot of people knocking salmon are eating pink salmon, which is considerably cheaper.

Tilapia is a trash fish.

If tilapia was a trash fish you couldn't eat it worth a damn. It actually pretty good if prepared right.

Try it out of a can. That’s the best

In college, one of my roommates would cook salmon from a can at least once a week and pour it over rice, kind of like a fish sauce piquante.

It tasted OK, but the smell was pretty bad. Never quite got used to eating those bones either.

I've had a fried salmon burger in Oregon that was damn good. I'm heading out there again Saturday and hope that place is still around.

Salmon is average fish on its best day. All fish is just average. It just ends up tasting like whatever shite you dump on it. Don’t get me wrong I love snapper, redfish on s half shell, trigger, etc. but fish just isn’t that great.

Except Tuna. Fresh seared tuna is delicious. All other fish is average and I’d rather eat a steak or some chicken wings.

I like it in patties, but a big slab of it smoked or grilled isn’t great.

I’ve not had walleye yet.
I guess fresh water perch is similar in taste to sunfish or bluegill ?
