My wife loves it,I don’t.I went to Alaska and brought home 70 lbs.salmon filets,I was giving it away to anybody that would take it but I didn’t tell her.Now the halibut was delicious but I didn’t have much.The halibut we caught was small and only allowed to keep one.

It's as wild as you can get, they aren't in ponds, lakes, etc.
They are in the ocean, in large netted areas, and like i said, some of best salmon you will get, next to King.

I like silvers or sockeye better though Spring kings tend to be better imo. Orcas have been devastating the population though

I remember before the marketing departments got involved and rebranded them King, I could buy Chinook for %5.99/ lb. Amazing what changing a name can do to prices and peoples perception of quality. Same goes for Copper River marketing machine.

While true, netted salmon isn't anymore wild than pond raised. The environment and s just different
Not all farmed salmon are equal, but all are fed foods they normally don't eat, treated with food coloring so their flesh isn't gray. Much of farmed salmon food is treated with additives.

If I am going to eat any salmonidae, it will be a 6-10" pan fried brook trout, maybe even a rainbow or brown instead of a krillbag salmon. Might as well eat swordfish which is equally gross.
