Wrong.
Catfish and Tilapia are terrible with Swai and Basa being probably the absolute worst fish in the world.
Even farm raised Salmon is miles better than Catfish.
How rednecks eat that stuff and treat it like a delicacy is beyond me.
Nobody outside of the SEC cares about your catfish Mississippi.

Smoked salmon from the NW is one of my favorite treats. My grandmother used to catch it, hard smoke it and jar it for us.
Atlantic salmon is junk but proper Alaskan or wild salmon is great. Sure, red snapper is better but in terms of accessibility there is no better fish you can readily get at the store.
Catfish is like a chicken breast. Meh and only cooked a few ways. Tilapia is literal garbage, raised in polluted pools in China.

I agree. I've yet to have any salmon that I liked. Perhaps if Nanook prepares it I would enjoy it. Time to go trudging across the tundra, mile after mile.
