An atmospheric river is what they called it before the game last night. Rained like all hell the whole time.

The Central California Valley has a defined rainy season.
Unlike here in the SE, where it rains virtually year round, that area of California only gets rain from about now through March or so.

Atmospheric river. And a sub 950mb low pressure system off the coast will do that.

Huge waves from that system have been recorded by buoys.

Big story

Not that important to the story. It doesn’t rain in the summer there.

This happens every year when they cry about droughts

Need to look at the water scheme going on in LA and how it fricks the farmers

So are we finally going to head the end about them bitching about low reservoir levels.

I mean, all this rain has to go somewhere.

It may not help the farmers cause it’s too much at one time, but how does it help the overall water supply?????

Didn’t they pump down the reservoirs as part of a scheduled service...even though they are in a drought?

They get an average of 2 inches of rain from June through September. That’s 120 days every year.

For the other 100 days drought doesn’t mean no rain. It just means less than average.
