Win Dixie was there for a long time. With no substation.
I think they only have two grocery stores in the largest neighborhood in New Orleans. The new Rouses and Super Walmart.

I assume Rouses will raise prices in my area to subsidize this location.

Winn Dixie lasted there until they sold the company.

Wonder how much Rouses makes off SNAP?
must be a decent amount. They opened a store on Florida and Ardenwood. That area would seem to have a lot of SNAP users as well. And the store appears to be thriving.

Inventory shrinkage will be off the charts.

One thing I love about New Orleans is that the local leadership always seems to be together in front a camera for some random shite looking like the dumbass avengers.
lol at the Police Chief lady holding one side of the ribbon
she’s always popping up somewhere on camera and I’ll never forget her hitting two people with her car lmao

Like Chris Rock would say-“grand opening, grand closing “

Imagine how shite your culture has to be that the police put a station in your grocery store. At this point, I don’t even want to hear about racism if your community can’t even navigate the common interaction of buying and selling groceries.

Awsome news. I shopped there some when it was WD; it's going to be even better now as a Rouses.
I usually shop at Rouses CBD after work.

Rouses opened up a new store in New Orleans East…with an NOPD substation inside it
Probably some really sweet tax breaks just for having that thing open

“We know that New Orleans East is ripe with opportunity. We see so much potential in New Orleans East.”
Yeah, I used to teach out in Gentilly Terrace and most of my students were from the East and they would call bullshite.

Gulf Shores needs a substation. The snowbirds have robbed the food court of napkins and condiments.

Yea the police station on Royal st def aint stopping any crime.
But in this instance, it may give Rouses a fighting chance. Sad the 13% has done this to themselves and everyone around them

I sent in a question via the "contact us" link on their website and asked if they were considering putting store in Elleck. I got a nice "yeah, but no" reply back. Sure wish we could get a Rouses here.
