Rounding up is a scam!
Whatever store (Lowe's, Home Depot, Wal-Mart) bundle that total and donate those millions to charities only to claim that as a charitable donation not on your behalf, but on theirs, thereby reducing their taxable income, not yours.
We donate to reputable charity organizations directly so our family gets the tax credit in accordance with the law.

I decline these. In the end the store writes a check and it becomes a tax write-off for them. I’m not helping them do that. I’ll donate directly to a charity.

"Wanna round up to help children in need?'
Gotta wonder how much makes it there.

Cashier: "Would you like to round up"
Me: "You can round it down."
Me: "You can round it down."

I count this as the fourth (4th) time this absolute horse shite has been spouted off in this thread.

Have some fun, especially if cashier has an apostrophe in their name, pay cash. If the total is say $17.25, give them a $20, then say "wait, here is $2.25 in cash, you can just give me a $5 back."
Mind blown, deer in headlights, they're going to have to get the manager.

Sometimes I do it, just because I'm a little autistic and prefer my purchases be a whole number

Or the “you’ll be asked a question after you tap” thing. It’s either for a tip or a round up. No thanks.

Ronald McDonald House took in my brother and nephew when my nephew was being treated for cancer at Sloan-Kettering. They never paid a penny for the stay.
The Yankees came to visit the kids and gave the families tickets to a game behind home plate.
I will always donate to Ronald McDonald house.
