No, I'm never rounding up my purchase.

There should be a setting embedded in my credit card that tells the POS to not even ask me.

Least this isn’t a tip thread.

Very refreshing.

A "no thank you" ends the request quickly, and does not take anything out on the cashier who has nothing to do with that policy.

How about rounding down instead? I would go for that.

has nothing to do with it. half the time its the AI or the drive thru voice asking before you even get to the pay window.

If your kids go hungry because of that 37 cents you got bigger problems.

Tell me your OT poor without saying it……jk. I agree it’s out of hand. I always say no to that and tipping if I order at the counter and get my own drinks. Wife always says yes and tips every time. I try to order for us always because of that lol

That's not how it works. They don't get credit for that.

It's all to help that company's tax debt too. You give pennies. Those as up to millions of dollars across every location. That turns into a tax deductible donation.

I’ve always heard this too. But someone argued recently that it’s completely false. So now I have no idea and would like a ruling

What happened to pride?

People have no issues with asking for money anymore. I’d walk 2 miles back home if I didn’t have my wallet and ran out of gas, just to avoid asking a random for $2 at the pump.

Even if I’m dressed decent and don’t look like a homeless crackhead. Heck, I’d even be happy to spare a few bucks to some TD baws wearing crocks and a PFG shirt.
