Have they removed it already? I just switched to Youtube TV this week and haven't downloaded the channel yet on one of my Roku TVs.

Better hurry. I don’t know if it’s gone yet or not.

I would just go with Hulu or another app.

I'm guessing that this does NOT include youtube.

YouTube is going totally mainstream. Soon there will be no difference between Comcast, Charter or YouTube.
If you want to see alternative to mainstream content Bitchute, Rumble and Odysee are the answers that I know of right now.

So this is basically the new version of the crawler I get on DirecTV 3 times a year that says “YOU ARE ABOUT TO LOSE CBS!!!!”
It’s all the same shite.

Updated OP with Youtube TV side of the story in an email to its customers
quote:
Our goal with YouTube TV is to offer you the content you love, delivered in the way you want — including on all of your favorite devices. To make this happen, we enter into agreements with partners in order to enable access to YouTube TV via different devices.
Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we have been unable to reach an agreement with Roku. We continue to offer Roku the opportunity to renew the YouTube TV deal under the existing, reasonable terms.
If you are not currently using Roku, you should not have any issues. For our Roku users, as we send this, you still have access to YouTube TV on Roku devices; however, Roku may choose to remove the YouTube TV app from their devices. We encourage Roku to continue providing the YouTube TV app for our mutual users.
Should Roku decide to remove the YouTube TV app from their platform, you can still cast to your Roku device from your mobile device, tablet, or computer by following these simple steps. You can also continue to access the app using all of the devices listed here.
In light of Roku’s current stance, we encourage you to reach out to their customer support team to request they keep YouTube TV on Roku devices here or tweet @roku.
We are committed to ensuring our members continue to have access to YouTube TV and will continue advocating on behalf of our members. For further updates on this issue and our efforts to resolve it, please visit this website.
Sincerely,
The YouTube TV team

So you still can watch YouTube TV you just need to use a workaround.
Honestly, Google should send YouTube TV subscribers a free Google Chromecast when you sign up for YouTube TV, or after you've been a customer for 3 months or something. It would eliminate a lot of these issues.

Well I'm confused. Did Google change their terms or not?

We're not being given the real story. If you take the Roku email and the YouTube TV email as the truth, the stories don't align.

The real story is pretty obvious...money dispute.

They actually did this at the end of last year. I got an email from them thanking me for being a subscriber for X number of months and it had a link to claim a free Chromecast. Ironically YouTube TV works better on my Roku than the Chromecast they sent me.

Roku cannot accept Google’s unfair terms as we believe they could harm our users. Ensuring a great streaming experience at an exceptional value is the core of our business. We will always stand up for our users, which is why we cannot accept Google's unfair and anticompetitive requirements to manipulate your search results, impact the usage of your data and ultimately cost you more.

From my understanding, YouTube wanted more user metadata and the ability to force searches in Roku to their services. I’m sure money was a part of it, but Roku made it sound like Google was throwing around some weight and said “let us get and control data.”
I’m probably biased. I’m ambivalent towards Roku but Google can DIAF.

Are they going to delete the app off your Roku automatically or will it be like with Spectrum where they couldn't reach a deal but as long as you don't delete the app you can still use it?

It cracks me up they’ve we’ve basically replaced the cable provider vs cable channel tit-for-tat for this foolishness.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I think if you have already downloaded the app then you're ok. Mine was still there this morning. However, you cannot find it in the Roku app store if you're a new user or had not downloaded it previously.

When I started streaming with Roku, I basically tried them all.
FUBU TV is sports orientated and has the weather channel for hurricanes
I essentially settled with Hulu LIVE TV because they all jacked up prices and the only real cheap one, Sling doesn't do local channels.
I have not tried Paramount Plus yet.
Amazon prime sucked the last I tried them.
