I don't get it. What happened in our culture where people decided that everything should be a hand out? It's part of being an adult in general society to work to provide yourself with basic needs such as shelter and food.
I can maybe even understand if they were protesting the appropriate agencies that have implemented the shutdown of the economy which forced someone to take a big financial hit. Maybe. But the landlord didn't impose the lockdowns that have hurt so many financially. But he'll, even before the virus I've heard of people claiming evictions were illegal. Not to mention how hard it actually is to evict a tenant.

Also, that's not how this works you deranged, ignorant lunatics.
You have a lease. The landlord owns what you are living in. If you cannot afford to pay for living there, you cannot live there.
I have some sympathy for people that are on tough time right now, especially New Orleans where the service industry is a way of life.
I also have sympathy for landlords and I hate chapo retards that think mao was right.
I don’t really know what to do. Maybe jail the chapos, it’s free rent in a way

Then they should get to actual work. Life sucks. If I get laid off from this job, I'm not going to be wasting time protesting, i'll be finding more work.

I'm guessing unemployment will be extended at a lesser rate, but still more than usual (possibly based on your usual work income). Also, there will almost certainly be a 2nd stimulus sent in August and funds should be received fast due to them already doing it once and not needing the setup time so much for the 2nd round. So by the time rent is due in the beginning of the month, most people should be ok.
But there are some who have never been in a sound financial situation regardless of the virus stuff.

I didn't like the first one and won't like this one ether if/when it goes through.

Tear gas not needed to clear that crowd. Job Apps will do it faster.

Then they should be protesting government overreach, not landlords.
Tough shite. Life is hard.
Go get a job.

Agreed that the shutdown of the economy has put a lot of people in tough spots financially. But you can't tell me these types of people haven't been clamoring for things like free housing, education, and/or universal basic income long before anyone had ever heard of coronavirus.

Absolutely no social distancing going on at the protest.

Good luck paying any bills with a $10/hour grocery store job... plus they’ll hold your first check

You never dealt with this state before huh???

I know the guy in the polo shirt in the last pic from some carnival organizations. Knowing he owns many rental properties, he is likely just trying to get into the courthouse to exercise his rights as a property owner.

Those aren't the only places hiring. Go back to your preppy rich kid shtick. You looked like less of an arse doing that one.

The left and right tackles in pic one form a good barrier.
