Regardless of your thoughts on climate change; is this an opp for global study?

We saw how the skies above China cleared immediately when the country shut down.
Now we're likely going to be seeing the same thing with India (if we haven't already).
Everyone knows the few people getting out on the freeway in L.A. are doing 100mph because there's no traffic..
Anyway, I hope this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to observe what happens when the entire world shuts down for a few months is being take advantage of by the scientific community to generate some real data and not fear-mongering of what may or may not happen in 50 years.

Obama's investments in clean energy are certainly taking a hit with all of this cheap oil. It was about time he made an announcement about the imminent dangers climate change.

You mean to tell me all this massive irreparible environmental damage humans have supposedly caused since the industrial revolution has begun to reverse itself by 2 weeks of limited quarantining?

When I say it, its climate change denial but when a scientiest says it, it is the opposite?

CO2 stays in the atmosphere for decades. Don't expect the upward temperature trends to be reversed or stall. But I'm part of the global conspiracy and paid handsomely for it, so take that FWIW.
The skies clearing over cities is due to a drop in other gasses/emissions not the drop in CO2.

If the results came back that climate change is real and man-made, would it really change the mind of the current non-believers? No. It wouldn't. A little more evidence would not be enough to convince non-believers who have already been shown overwhelming evidence that we do have an impact on the climate.

Fewer particulates and clearer skies may mean warming atmosphere (in the short run), despite lower CO2 emissions.

It will be the exact dynamic of the corona virus response.
"Over reaction" that will "kill the economy" until it's absolutely desperate and well beyond the point to deal with it without severe, drastic measures that are likely too late to have a significant effect.

I think he is saying the earth can repair itself at a far greater rate than he expected. And therefore, the effects of human influenced climate change may not be as irreversible as many “experts” have pointed out.

People seem to always be confused in these debates. Climate change is real. Every scientist agrees with that (temp, CO2). Based on replies on this topic every time it comes up, not everyone actually knows that.
The disagreement happens at the why: earth has gone through similar cycles before industrialization was a thing VS men are the main culprit.
And yeah, having the world shut down for a month won't really do anything.
