I ate their AYCE shrimp aboot 10-15 years ago. They brought out 12 shrimp. I ate those then waited 20 minute to get 6 more. After another 20 minutes to get 6 more, I told the waitress to bring me some food, that I was starving to death waiting 20 minutes for 6 shrimp.

She did not comply. I have not been back.

Growing up in New Orleans, I didn’t know what red lobster was until I joined the Army. Why would anyone in south Louisiana even go to a place like that.

What you mean I can't get all my swimps at Red Lopster on my burfday?

Imagine a chain restaurant that focused on serving quality food as opposed to all you can eat promotions.

The breading used to encase those mini salad shrimp is really expensive.

There’s a lot more than the shrimp promotion going in with that loss. They weren’t profitable the previous quarter to begin with, shrimp prices are low because we are allowing the Asian market to dump all their shite into our market at unsustainable rates..

I’m sure they have some charge offs but I’d be willing to say that if you dive into the real issues, you’ll find labor acquisition and retention are killing them along with simply not outpacing general inflation with growth

$11 million loss in the third quarter of 2023

The 'Endless Shrimp' offer was initially a special - but in June it claimed a permanent spot on the Red Lobster menu, and for just $20 diners could indulge in as much of the shellfish as they could stomach.

bumped the price of their Endless Shrimp up to $25

Unless they sold over 2.2M endless shrimp meals, that CFO is going to be in for a huge shock when he closes out Q4.

Could you sue the parent company if you were a franchisee having to run this deal and losing your arse on it?

Doubtful given franchisee agreements.

I know Subway in particular is notorious for corporate mandates on hours and some products that have to be honored regardless of actual costs.

RL franchisees may not be allowed to deny Endless Shrimp nor may they be able to raise the price of it over a certain amount over corporately dictates pricing.
