Started at a 9, but now down to a 2. Got home from visiting family and noticed most of my lights were dim. When you would turn on more, they would all dim more. Called a cousin who is an electronics guru and he came and checked it and said I had a phase coming to the house that was low. Called the utility company and they say it's between the transformer and the house in the underground wiring. I had a clogged sewer pipe a couple of months ago and they had to dig right where the power line was to repair it. I think they nicked the wire but didn't say anything. Now I'm sitting in a cold house in Huntsville waiting for another utility guy to come to add something to the good phase that will let me run at full voltage until they can dig up the line tomorrow and repair it . If they charg me, I am going to have the plumbing company pay it, not me.

I was assigned a seat at the kids table at my brother-in-laws parents house during an excellent Christmas meal.
then when I got back home, my neighbors invited me over for a drink. I didn't even know they drank but they probably knew I did.

Has a blast with everyone.
Until about 11pm tonight. Then I started throwing up. I think the flu got me now.
The alarm at 530 for work is going to suck.

10.
Got to spend another Christmas with my mom and my father in law who were both given cancer diagnoses in the last two years and both are still alive and independent.
Spent 36 hours straight with my daughter who just got back from her first semester in college. I miss her dearly every day.
Spent the same 36 hrs straight with my son who is maturing in a good young man. Much better man than me when I was in high school.
Wife was totally different this year and said she did not want gifts this year and did not want to be out shopping for others either. I took a chance and did not buy her anything but some small items for the stocking. She was happy.
Epic day. Love my family and love the blessings we have been given all year long.

10. Spent what I fear is my last Christmas with my dad. He has pulmonary fibrosis and is getting to a point where he just can’t get any O2 into his system. Doubt he lasts another year. Very grateful to have had this day with my parents. He’s been the greatest father any person could ever have and I will miss him dearly. But today was wonderful.

The 2 posts above mine were very nice. I wish you both continued happiness in the next year. We should all try to lead our lives such that we don't need Christmas to have these feelings.
My day was at least an 8...based on watching my two daughters enjoy the day and my wife getting to spend another Christmas with her Mother. All traveled safely and seemed to appreciate the gifts that were given and the gift of time together.
If we went the materialism route my day was a 1. I got one shirt that did not fit.

Man a few of you guys are hitting me in the feels.
I’d give mine a 10. Spent the day with my wife and 2 boys opening gifts and playing in the cool weather. Cooked a gumbo and had a drink with friends. Heading to meet my parents, brother and sister with their families in Disney this morning!
Everyone is healthy so not too much to ask for!
I also won my Fantasy championship!

Nothing better than seeing pure shock then joy on your daughters face when she realized her gift is a trip to Disney World (she is 7).
Besides her birth, best moment of my life.

I'd say around a 9. Just the SO and I.
Christmas Eve was another story. Imagine the picture of the perfect traditional turkey dinner at home. Then toss it out of your mind--with four kids under age 2 1/2 in the house (SO's grandson, his cousin, and her daughter's best friend with her two kids) Praise Jesus for Taco Bell Party Packs!
