I'd say 8.5, about as good as possible without something crazy (good) happening.

Everything worked out great with the kiddos, families were cool without any issues, wife and I were good, got to enjoy all the usual aspects of the holiday season.

I will NEVER wish being at work over a day off. So mine's a 5.

We celebrated Christmas Eve with siblings and little ones. Brother couldn't make it in. Christmas Day, my Dad flew to the Middle East, saw him off at the airport and I drove 5 hours back to NOLA, leaving my mom in an empty house.

A 10, in relative Christmas Day terms

Gifts were great all around.
Food was delicious.
Family was great and many of them were in attendance.
Weather was cold and crisp.

But more importantly it's another holiday my fiancée and I enjoy after being in bad marriages with people who were selfish and hated holidays for their various reasons. A stress free, enjoyable day.

All things considered, probably a 7. My FIL had a mild heart attack Saturday so we were at the hospital all weekend. But we brought cards, some Christmas decorations, and wine for my MIL, wife, and me. We went to my parents house too and had some dessert and scotch.

It wasn't ideal, but we made the best of it.

6.5 - my lady is coming down with the cold my youngest has fought off for days yet she still found time for us to sneak off together in a house full of people.

Oldest 2 bringing their boyfriends keeps the score from soaring higher.

I might suggest that breaking his daughter's heart had to have some impact.

8.5, but it would have been a 10 if I didn't keep reminding myself that I had work today.
