Not from lack of trying!!!

B to the E was a terrible beer but in large quantities it did strange things to you. I think that’s why I only mass consumed it like once. I felt like I could feel years of my life leaving my body when I drank it.

WTF?

Absolutely loved Mississippi Mud.

Didn’t know it was officially extinct? We had a great place up here, south by southwest cuisine and they had gulf fresh oysters on the half-shelf or broiled at the bar and Cajun popcorn in season.

Great memories, served in that style glass as well. We used to have Buckwheat Zydeco and Cajun musicians and Toots & Mayatals every summer for years.

Damn!

Billy Beer

Bad beer. I did go to a free beer party at Southdowns bar in Baton Rouge where Billy Carter sat in a chair on the deck of a flatbed trailer in the parking lot and promoted it. I recall he was half in the bag when the event started and most of his comments were less than intelligent. “Uh, yep.” “Well, nope” and “My brother Jimmy”.

Pulled from the market because some A-hole claimed the beer was racist.

I think they're still around (or were revived).

This is the one my parents would make me bike on up to the store to buy for them. Those were the days.

If they made it easy to post pics on here, it would be worth sharing.

I've seen it in 30 packs in, of all places, Fargo, ND at Happy Harry's Bottle Shop (liquor store chain up in Fargo and Grand Forks).

I distinctly remember drinking what felt like 30 of them at the thibodaux mardi gras parade. Started at 8 am. Ended up in houma watching meriwether that night.

I wasn't driving, but I remember a buddy blowing through a red light in plaquemine on the way back and I just came unglued.

My sister in law bought a house in Lakeview and had to get a new AC unit. The AC guy found two six packs of Billy beer in the attic. I was tempted to open one but I figured they had been up there in the heat/cold for years, so I passed.
