How many OTers does it take to realize there will be even more trashy and poor people because of this?

So far, seems infinity is the answer there.

I know you think you're making a point, and you may be right, but being right in political situations is pretty unimportant when you have a specific end goal.

Quit hyperbolizing. Nobody in the middle, myself included, thinks abortion is anywhere near a 'barbaric practice'.

Totally incorrect. Abortion is wildly unpopular.

Sure. But the moment a woman crosses state lines to have an abortion it becomes a federal question. Under the constitution and all.

downvote away, I have been in the party (GOP) probably longer than most of you have been alive and at all levels, and if you don’t understand why this isn’t good news for us, that’s fine. You don’t have too understand, but we have studied this for decades and it’s not.

I don’t really give a shite personally, not Catholic, don’t buy the argument but don’t care. I am pretty much Libertarian on most social issues, frick a goat, kill yourself, OD on drugs, whatever I don’t care just don’t bleed on my Persian rug.

I am concerned if it causes crime to skyrocket, like the freakonomics guys predict, I pray they are wrong, if not the South will become “unlivable”

And what all these “We know better than you bitches” will want to do next. Make no mistake about it, this is about sex to many of these people and the same group of women that brought you MAD, the War on drugs, Prohibition, etc. They never saw a good time they didn’t want to shut down . The are meanest, nastiest group of people I have ever been around, and I was a lobbyist.

What if I told you correcting one error is a start to correcting many? Condoning one error is a start to condoning many?

It’s just as likely the entire story is a fabrication intended to energize the Democrat vote.

I don’t doubt the possibility it’s all a fabrication. But if it is being done specifically to energize Democrats, it’s just as likely to back-fire if it’s a “boy who cried Wolf” scenario.

I’m pretty sure most politically energized Democrats already know that Roe is in danger. Throwing out a story that will be proven false long before the midterms even get here would just de-sensitize them to the potential threat of Roe being overturned.

Abortion is the silliest hill to die on, not because it is not important to so many people but because it is SO important to so many people and it is pretty much evenly divided. The truth is that no man, no government, no king or queen, no supreme court, absolutely no earthly being will ever be able to settle the issue. To make it worse no government ever in the history of governments has ever been able to prohibit anything, EVER.

Beyond the huge deal that overturning Roe is, it’s also a massive shock that there has been a leaked opinion from the Supreme Court. That’s something that never happens. The Justices, despite their differences, tend to have good working relationships. That may change depending on who is responsible for the leak.

When Christians are talking in public, sure. In private when they think it matters in the voting booth? I disagree. They want to know they have that ace in the hole if they need it for themselves, or their daughters, etc

For alot of people, not all, I think it’s one of those things people scream about hating, but deep down inside a lot of people would opt for it in situations

If Democrats are willing to vote for Democrats still with the economy tanking, inflation and interest rates spiraling upward, an open border, a creation of a Ministry of Truth, a huge push for accepted pedophilia, an overturned Roe v. Wade decision by the SCOTUS will have limited impact.
