Got it, I’ll call you.

In 2001 I got a lab from a litter from that yellow lab - he was incredible, the dog of my lifetime.

Yes on the name.

If you don’t mind edited that, please do.

Ok, yes I am.

Spent a lot of time at both those locations so imagine we would have met back then.

Was Jimmy with you at the PB location? (I believe it was Jimmy, lived in Krotz Springs).

How did you know him?
I fit a 12’ in my 14’ flat bottom easily.

I’ve carried that thing for years but never really used it until today.

First deer I ever called in. I’m a believer now.

Area 1 public land.

Been here all day, just called in a hammer with primos can right before 3. Came in and saw me in the tree.

I tried not to look at his rack because I get any deer fever something awful with my bow.

It was wide, a lot of mass, saw a lot of points, think it was a 10.

Rubs everywhere back here.

Damn, it was cool but rare opportunity. Hindsight I should have drawn right away.

Atchafalaya River, Whiskey Bay intel

Posted by bobdylan on 11/6/25 at 10:13 am
Has anyone been on the river or pilot channel recently near I-10 (butte larose area) and know if there may be any sandbars currently, suitable for camping?

Want to take my kids camping somewhere this weekend and know the river is low but haven’t been on it since this summer and only went down river and don’t recall any sandbars going south.

He told me that it was never allowed but the wording was confusing. It used to say hunting by lottery only from Friday before youth season…

Like Hebert said, he was wrong if he said that, it was very clear you could hunt there.

Man again that sucks if so. Our kids were off of school so we went ride the four wheeler yesterday. I left it hooked up and was going to go to S Farm today. Last night I read that section just to check the dates before it closes until after duck season.

Sherburne South Farm Question

Posted by bobdylan on 10/17/25 at 5:44 pm
This year says,”no hunting allowed on south farm except lottery hunts and except open migratory game bird hunting is allowed during early teal season…yada yada (discusses duck and goose only).

Also it had in major changes “changes were made to the sherburne wma south farm hunting regulations see page 64.” (Which is all it has in the first paragraph above).

Historically you could bow hunt there outside duck season more or less - this reads like that is no longer allowed?

If so, that sucks and they should be more clear on this change.

If anyone can gif the play when Klubnick was about to get sacked and blindly threw it into an LSU d line player a la max Johnson vs ucla, please share.

That was very impressive.
Cutthroat single bevel.

Expensive but have been able to reuse them and have life time warranty.
I followed, makes total sense.

re: Bridge over ditch in neighborhood?

The reputable contractors won’t without the permit and I have an old retired neighbor that would definitely contact the parish and cause a stink if I was able to find someone.
That’s a good idea but yeah, don’t think I’d try my luck pulling a trailer across it.
