I was 12. I didn't flinch. It's nothing. I made my own decision. Felt good to decide myself.
My sil had two daughters ears done young. They both had constant infections no matter the quality of the studs. Crispy crunchy red scabby ugly ears on those babies and pain. Both older now and refuse to wear earrings even though they no longer get infected ears. Holes didn't close though.

So at the end of the day, your suggestion is to put holes in kids?

No. Read my previous posts.

Pediatrician did mine when I was young. My dad was from India and it was a cultural thing. Never had a problem and don't see the issue with it.

If my wife and I have a girl she will get her ears pierced at an early age when she isnt aware.
Ive never seen it as an issue besides threads here. But then of course 99% of anything anyone does is trashy on here. So there is that.
My view is the majority of women have the basic spot in their ears pierced. So go ahead and do it. We dont view women in general with pierced ears trashy. (or does the OT? wouldnt suprise me one bit i guess)

Let the choice be hers. 12 or 13th birthday present for good grades.
Babies with pierced ears are TAF.

God what a shite attempt.
1. Find fiends
2. Ask your wife questions concerning holes in your baby daughters ears
3. Gargle buckshot
When she's 16 she will have no problem finding fiends.

It's not a circumcision. Piercing your ears is mild discomfort. My daughter got hers done when she was old enough to take care of them (10).

Under two years old with ear rings - trashy.
Bring her to the pediatrician on her fifth birthday at her own will. Any earlier or forcing her, you'll be teaching her male dominance.

My wife insisted my daughter get hers when she was a year old. I didn't know what protocol was so I went along with it

I generally agree with most OT trash selections, but I went against the OT on this one. My daughters ears were pierced at 6 months by the pediatrician. If she doesn't want them when she gets older, she can take them out, not a big deal.

My niece just got them. She is 5. Her friends either had them or were getting them. We set behavior goals for her to meet (don't get in trouble at school for a month, clean your room without us asking, etc) it took a while but she did it and got her desired reward. Then, the earring became another opportunity to learn responsibility. She had to learn to clean them, then, do it herself.

For most of us on here, our parents snipped our dicks without our consent. Pierced ears seems rather benign compared to that.

Right, they didn't want us to grow up and be total freaks.

I see no need to spend money on piercing my infant daughter's ears. I will wait until she's mature enough to take care of it herself.

Except that she will have permanent holes in her ears. At least if it's her decision, she can say she chose to have them there and changed her mind.
