As a Peds nurse I would agree with your wife.

that's a bull shite statistic or she just works with 90% medicaid patients
Obviously, it's not exact. That's her opinion, maybe nurse can confirm or deny from her experience.
Nurse, are medicaid babies more likely to have earrings than others?

Go to the trashiest Walmart and look at how many babies have ears pierced.
Then go to nicest Target and do the same.

Pretty much this.
Obviously there are going to be exceptions, but I'd rather remove the doubt and err on the side of non trashiness.
I thought this was pretty obvious?
Is a wife beater with sleeve tattoos trashy or nah?

no dog in this fight, but it's pretty hilarious that it's trashy when they're babies, but at 5 yrs old posters think children are capable of making mature decisions about their bodies. ask just about any 5 yr old boy, and he'd probably want to have a turtle shell grafted onto his back like Leonardo.

all words associated with the word "trash" should be bannable.
the amount of stupidity in this thread is beyond my comprehension
i would do that tomorrow

My wife who is a peds nurse comments that 90% of children under 2 with earrings are on medicaid, so take that for what it's worth.
So medicaid will cover it for us?

Will a pediatrician do it here?
Yes

You can also get her first tramp stamp out of the way as well; you know, since she isn't aware.

Wait until she's old enough. I just don't see any practical reason to pierce a girl's ears when she's an infant. At any age they're still going to feel pain and deal with potential infection issues. I'd just assume let her wait until she's old enough to maintain cleaning them herself.

I'll take Trailer Trash Retards for 1,000, Alex.
You going to give her a sweet "Daddy's Little Girl" tramp stamp on her while you're at it?

Fine either way. I had mine pierced when I was 14. It hurt like heck!

To be fair, there's no practical reason to do it at any age.

Seriously! Clip on earrings exist!

I absolutely cannot believe a pediatrician pierces baby ear lobes...

Trashy.
I know a lot of females too (I am one, actually) who wouldn't pierce their babies' ears any more than they'd give them a tattoo. IMO it's a class thing, not trying to be judgy, though.
But if your daughter's name is Destiny or Angel, or ends in -lyn, feel free.
