Waxing nostalgic, Waxing poetic, waxing etc.
This term is getting used a lot, especially in the media. I saw somebody start a thread with it the other day about waxing nostalgic. I'm scratching my head because the only thing I think when I hear waxing is "waxing that arse" or "wax on, wax off". So I had to look up the origin of that term:
Y'all quit using that shite. You sound like idiots, or at least like idiots that use words you don't understand to make it seem like you're not an idiot. Irks the frick out of me now.
What's other phrases that need to be phased out?

The phrase “to wax nostalgic” is an English idiom and means to become nostalgic (or become increasingly nostalgic). The verb to wax means to grow in quantity or intensity. It comes from describing how the moon's lit face increases (waxes) before the full moon and then decreases (wanes) afterwards.

I haven’t noticed this at all

Honestly, I feeling like the "waxing" phrases are in a waning phase at the moment.

Maybe waning will become hip to balance waxing. Waning economy, waning obesity, etc.

My interest in this is waning

Geez, I was expecting something I could agree with, like "hella" or "prolly."
"Wax" as a verb? Man, that's just plain English.

Talk about sweating the small trivial shite. What kind of person lets something like this annoy them so much that they have to anonymously bitch about it on a message board?

"piggybacking"
I hear this GD phrase all the damn time in the office. Someone will say something and then another will go, "piggybacking off such n such's comment/question"
It sounds innocent enough until damn near every question while holding an interview begins with "piggy-backing"

The OT is built off of bitching about trivial shite

So you got mad that you didn't know what an old idiom meant and you're only familiar with erudite stuff like "waxing that arse"?
So now everyone else using the terms as always used should change to account for your confusion and ignorance?

"who wanna" and "who tryna" are by far the worst
