These damn college kids ruined that last week in Tigerland. I'm hearing reports of both bumping and grinding going on and more than one sexual encounter in the parking lot. You give these millennials an ounce of freedom and they spit in your face.

This. Back in my day we always maintained social distancing at freds and saved sex for marriage

Not surprised. Latoya didnt have a press conference this morning so that was the give away

And I don't think she will for awhile.

She is just going to stay silent and let everyone live with her version of "Phase 2" for awhile. People will just get used to it and no one will say anything. Unfortunately.

Would be interesting to hear some of the stories from fans in 1918 with the Spanish Flu.

Who would be able to give those first hand accounts today?

I have only seen 3-4 different photos from a game during that time period and looked like large number wearing masks.

Masks were as effective then as they are today, which is to say probably not very effective.

Also...why is the go to the Spanish Flu? Why not the 1968 Hong Kong Flu?

They may require masks

That would be peak stupid/virtue signal

Attempting to enforce something like that at a football game would be laughable and completely ineffective. People eat and drink constantly, (especially water in the early games) and will do nothing but touch their masks the entire time.

Are they going to make everyone wear them at tailgates too? What about seating on top of each other with people sweating everywhere? The idea that the spread of the virus can be mitigated at something like a major college football game is erroneous.

That happens in phase 97. This phase requires a a positivity rate of < .0000000001, no new COVID hospitalizations in 5 years and less than 50 new cases in a given 1 decade time span. Joey Burrow Jr.gonna eat on opening day!!

Every single person that keeps talking about our #s have gone up is a good reason not to go to phase 3 should be executed. Our #s going up is completely irrelevant. It's about the # of people on vents. The Federal gov't has already supplied us with enough vents and equipment to help us if we get overloaded, which we more than likely wouldn't. Opening everything back up all the way is not going to overload our hospitals, there have already been measures put in place.

And for the comment about having someone in nursing homes. What an idiotic comment. Those people haven't seen family in months, and according to several workers in there, I know, b/c I ride an ambulance and go in to nursing homes, are some very depressed old folks living inside them.

ETA: I don't really want anyone executed

Eta2: I misunderstood the post about nursing homes from earlier

A lot of us put significant portions of our life on hold, at an economic detriment, for almost 4 months to protect those among us who lived the majority of their lives during the best times this country has ever seen.

We need to be in phase 3 by August or schools wont open at normal capacity, which will severely hinder the economy from coming back.

It's been a few weeks but last time my wife and I went to dinner it was like 50% and every other table was occupied.

The requirement is 50% of your fire marshall stated capacity, so fortunately this doesn't just count your seating. Removing a few tables and some barstools can sometimes get you down to 50% of whatever your stated number is. Especially in places with tables that weren't close together in the first places.

A lot of the bars are just operating as usual.

I think you missed his point. He was saying he wants things opened up so that he can go visit a loved one in a nursing home. At least that's the way I took it.
