Cannot stand people who aren't punctual. I walked out of a job interview one time because I waited to go in for almost 45 minutes, and was there 15 minutes early. Later on that day they called me, and I told them, if you dont respect my time, you surely don't respect any employees.

That'll take you 2 weeks to wait out this rain. You'll be VERY late

A guy at my church does this. He lives about 25 minutes away and is almost always 7ish minutes to the start of every service. He has grown kids too, so he isn't trying to wrangle up a lot of toddlers to leave the house. Me personally, I'd start leaving at least 10 minutes earlier to get there on time.

If you're not early, you're late. Some people wear being rude like a badge of honor.

Sounds like you need to live in Japan. Their country is built on punctuality.

America isn’t the land of the free…..it’s the land of the me.

I think the only thing about my wife that truly grinds my gears is this. I say all the time that she does not have an urgent bone in her body. If I'm late for something or feel like I'm bordering on late I kick it into hyperdrive, skip unneeded steps..speed up in some way... we can already be late and she is moving at the exact same pace as if we had 3 hours to spare and it sets my brain and nervous system a blaze. She will often get into the car as were 10 minutes late to an event and say hey...we're doing pretty good on time :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

This. I am punctual, early, and I drive with no stress because I have time to get where I need to be. People driving around and changing lanes like a crackhead trying to get 2 cars ahead make everything worse for everyone. If people drove the speed limit and paid attention we would all get where we are going, sooner. I stay out of the left lane unless passing, but the life lesson is to leave early and drive chill.

When I was about fourteen , my Dad , who never missed what he considered a teaching moment : we watched a car swerving in and out of traffic , driving like crazy … we get to the next red light and he is literally three feet in front of us … my Dad turns to me and says “ remember that car a few minutes ago driving like Mario Andretti , to get where he is going . He is three feet ahead of us “
I have never forgot that.

Our church has an 8:00 and an 11:00 service. For some reason years ago the later service started at 10:55 instead of 11:00. The Pastor would be up making announcements, and made some comment about how the ones coming to the 11:05 service were missing all the good stuff said at the beginning. Right about then his wife walked in, as she had been teaching a children's Sunday school class, and he had to backtrack a little and say well of course some of you coming in late have other obligations to take care of.

It's one of my least favorite things about dating today. It's been quite a few times a woman will nonchalantly show up 30-60 minutes late without a valid excuse and I'll be sitting by myself looking like an idiot just waiting for you. Regardless of who you are, I always respect and value you and your time. Therefore, I expect the same from you. It's common courtesy.

My doctor absolutely does this too.

Every single appointment I have with him, he (one of his secretaries) sends me an email saying to show up 15 minutes early to not screw up the schedule of patients behind me and if I don't show up 15 minutes early, I'm basically considered late. And even when I show up early, my doctor is usually 15-30 minutes late for my appointment anyway. It's funny yet bull shite at the same time.

Just don't speed.

I dont agree with left lane "campers". I'm sure i can find just as many accidents that happened from lane switching, if that would help. But it won't. You wanna haul arse as desired, with no slowing....as long as others take off their cruise and slow or speed up and force a lane change.

Nah, I'm good

I work with people who are late for work at least half the time. I can’t understand it. Why do you want to lose sick time or money because you are late. They apologize to me sometimes and I say “it’s your money”. It’s funny because I live 30 minutes away and they live less than 5 minutes away, lol.

My approach is you can live your life however you want. I’m 100% ok with it. I can do the same. It’s not my job to accommodate you especially if it’s a habitual thing and it really inconveniences me.
