People with zero sense of urgency or time

This has probably been discussed before here, but man, I cannot frickin stand when people are severely late to a function (party, wedding, funeral, etc.), a meet up, or when they decide to do tasks 5-10 minutes before they were supposed to leave (shower, begin to get ready, mow lawn, etc.) for said place. shite drives me nuts. If you are late 5-10 minutes, no big deal. But anything over like 30min to an hour +, is just a dick move without any reasonable excuse.
I was raised that other people's time is just as important as yours and consideration for them is a good way to live life.
Being severely late or having no sense of basic urgency or mental time keeping to get to a place when you agreed upon is just plain disrespectful.
This also applies to drivers who put-put down the interstate like theyre on a Sunday cruise during morning rush hour and people inching their way across a grocery like they got a finger in their arse.
If this is you, frick you

My kids have learned to give my ex wife a "need to be there by" time that is 30-40 minutes earlier than needed.

We are friends with a married couple that everyone is in cahoots behind their back to tell them things start 30 minutes before they actually do.
I can't think of one instance where they arrived before the actual starting time.
We love them, but it is insane to me.

i don't know about everyone else here, but i'm not one that likes to "hurry up and wait".

My freaking dr shows up at 9:00 to a 8:00 appointment and acts like it’s no big deal

This one girlfriend i had in high school, yes i was a bit of a ladys man, was always late to everything. It got so bad that I had to have my best friend go check on her when i knew she would be late for stuff and then they would both take forever to get to our function! it drove me insane but he kept insisting he could help fix the problem but then it turned into me standing around looking like a lonly jackass and my best friend and girl friend waltzing in late all the dang time! pisses me off to this day to think about it!

If we're "going out" I hurry up and get dressed and wait for my wife. This wait involves a cocktail on my patio in peace. No sense telling her to hurry. She isn't often late, but she sure likes to test time.

My "old man screaming at the clouds" rage has come way too early in my life, but I whole heartedly agree with you. I probably road rage yell "WHY DOESN'T ANYONE HAVE ANY URGENCY TO GET WHERE THEY'RE GOING?!" once a day on the road. The worst is being able to see they are clearly on their phone while driving and when you pull up next to them they don't lift their eyes off the screen for an uncomfortable amount of time.
I hate having to maneuver a productive day around individuals are who the least productive members of society.

all three of my grown kids are this way. If they aren't at my house by the time we gave, then we start eating without them. That didn't change anything, but we don't get mad anymore

I don’t put up with that shite any more. I fired a Primary Care Physician at Emory because she was always at least 30-minutes late. After dealing with Stage IV cancer; I have zero patience for people who make me wait.

I absolutely HATE being late to anything and if on the rare occasion that I am late, I'll send a courtesy text or call to that person/business and let them know. My parents were never late to anything. We never ran late growing up, even as a family with four small children. The military teaches you to be 15 minutes early and the whole "hurry up and wait".

Early is on time
On time is late
Late is unforgivable

You hate people that do last minute things and have to rush...yet you hate people who obey traffic laws and have time to drive in a relaxed manner?
I hate to break it to you...but you're one who's always late

Worked for a guy that was habitually late for important appointments.
He would also leave clients in lobby for 30-45 min past original appointment.
He was warped beyond anyone I ever knew.
Real Piece of shite

Thanks for the enlightenment, I'm going to try this method on Saturday. My weekend outlook just improved.

It's wisdom passed down from my father. Just get dressed early and quickly and get out of the bedroom/bathroom and go enjoy some quiet time. You know she won't bother you while she's getting ready.
Another nugget is never call in to-go food ahead of time from a place that has a bar. You order there and have a quiet beer.
