You sure about that?

So is this the new thing that took over the cars and trucks in the late 80's and 90's that would ride around booming music with all the windows down?

Are these people trying to show off or something? Do they think a group of hot girls are going to walk up to him and say "wow, you're listening to ____________ and I love that! Wanna go out tonight?"

I went on an NCL cruise and we hung out at the adult deck and bar. They had no music there and was kind of dead. I got my speaker and played music (70’s,80’s, 90’s stuff) with the bartenders permission. It was well received and asked for on subsequent days. Bartenders liked it because it got people drinking. Didn’t play too loud or any shitty music. I was always aware of the crowd and what they liked. Was even taking requests.

We got jiggy with it!

People who play music from their golf cart are the worst. Whether if it's on a course or in a neighborhood, we don't want to hear that shite.

The same folks who play music on their phone out loud also use speakerphone in public, and facetime as well.

They can all go to hell.

In his backpack was a bluetooth speaker playing music that everyone within 15 feet of him could hear.

Is that inconsiderate?

If you hear my music without asking to hear it, it's inconsiderate. That's why they make earbuds.

I think that because of the sense of isolation our devices create, many people have become socially retarded and don’t even think that what they’re doing could be inconsiderate.

Those people and people talking on speaker deserved to be skinned alive the dunked in a vat of lemon juice.

What's the deal with black chicks always having to hold their phone and talk on speaker while they're driving? Most relatively new cars these days have bluetooth.

You can't hear it unless you're very close to the cart.

And this is in no way similar to what OP is talking about.

As long as it’s at a reasonable volume, I have no problem with this. You can’t hear it until you’re really close to the cart.

The move mentioned in the OP has become very popular on the MARTA and DC metro. It is extremely annoying.

Act like you got a phone call and start talking really loud so that the person on speakerphone loses concentration and takes his conversation elsewhere. Enjoy the applause all the other sick patients give you once the dude walks out.

Outside of being at the beach, on a boat, or at the park? Definitely in a coffee shop is pretty trashy, but not as trashy as somebody blaring an explicit rap song with their car doors or windows open while at a gas station.

Be more specific. If it's at the DMV, the mall or someplace similar I will agree with you.

If you're at the beach or a park then you just need to go home and yell a the kids to get off your lawn.

If you're on the street in an urban area, then you're looking at the modern equivalent of the boombox.
